SCCM: How to enable Command console in WinPE

To troubleshoot SCCM OSD problems it is very handy to have Command console enabled. Basically what it does, it gives you a command prompt in WinPE. This allows you to do basic troubleshooting but the main thing for me is that it allows me to copy Task Sequence log file to USB drive, so I can check it for errors.

SCCM: How to Create Stand-alone media

First off all why would you need a Stand-alone media? The answer is simple this would be the only fast way to image remote or local PC that does not have connection to the network.
Basically Stand-alone media puts the OS image and the software packages onto CD, DVD or USB stick. The only thing that you need then is just to send the media to user. The user inserts CD, DVD or USB stick into computer and in 10-30 minutes computer is ready. (Well that should work in theory 🙂 ) (more…)

SCCM: How to change or modify Boot image background picture for OSD

Before you start changing the background image you have to decide ore going to completely change it or do you want to modify existing. I will describe how to modify existing one. (If you need to change it completely then go to the step where it says “Go back to Configuration Manager Console”)

Open Configuration Manager Console
Go to System Center Configuration Manager>Site Database>Computer Management>Operating System Deployment>Boot Images
