While trying to upgrade Nexus 5000 series switch I ran into following issue:<\/p>\n

Switch has enough free:<\/p>\n

Enough free space<\/p><\/div>\n

Look at install logs to identify where the problem is by typing:
\nshow system internal log install details | include space<\/em><\/p>\n

\"show<\/a>

show system internal log install details | include space<\/p><\/div>\n

As you can see the problem is because \/var\/tmp<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is bellow the threshold.
\nTo identify what is \u00a0taking space in\u00a0\/var\/tmp<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0type:
\nshow system internal dir \/var\/tmp<\/em><\/p>\n

show system internal dir \/var\/tmp<\/p><\/div>\n

Above we can see that most of the space is taken by smm.log<\/strong> file.
\nTo delete the file, type:
\nfilesys delete \/var\/tmp\/smm.log
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

\"filesys<\/a>

filesys delete \/var\/tmp\/smm.log<\/p><\/div>\n

If for some reason you cannot delete the file than there are 2 options:
\nCall CiscoTAC and asked them to delete the file. They would use dplug to do that
\nReboot the switch<\/p>\n

After deleting the file there was enough free space to start upgrade<\/p>\n
