It could be that the newly installed memory is too new for UCSM to recognize.<br \/>\nHere is a post <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/2012\/11\/09\/ucs-how-to-update-capability-catalog-in-ucs-manager\/\"><strong>How to Update Capability Catalog<\/strong><\/a>. After updating the <strong>Capability Catalog\u00a0<\/strong>decommission and recommission\u00a0the blade or you can reseat blade or reset the slot where the blade is.<br \/>\nIf updating <strong>Capability Catalog<\/strong> does not help then it could be that you are hitting Cisco bug \u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/tools.cisco.com\/Support\/BugToolKit\/search\/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&amp;bugId=CSCtu16549\" target=\"_blank\">CSCtu16549<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>According to bug details upgrading to UCS firmware 2.0(4a) or higher should fix the problem.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a problem that you can see when replacing or installing new DIMMs in UCS Blades.
