Below are the links how to do that:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/andrius.kozeniauskas.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/21\/sccm-how-to-capture-image\/\">How to capture OS\u00a0image<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/andrius.kozeniauskas.com\/blog\/2008\/01\/22\/sccm-how-to-add-operating-sytem-image\/\">How to add OS image<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also you must have SCCM client package ready:<br \/>\n<a rel=\"bookmark\" href=\"http:\/\/andrius.kozeniauskas.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/20\/sccm-how-to-create-sccm-client-package-and-program-for-osd\/\" title=\"Permanent Link to SCCM: How to create SCCM client Package and Program for OSD\">How to create SCCM client Package and Program for OSD<\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Open <strong>Configuration Manager Console<\/strong><br \/>\nGo to <strong>System Center Configuration Manager&gt;Site Database&gt;Computer Management&gt;Operating System Deployment<br \/>\n<\/strong>Right click on <strong>Task Sequences <\/strong>and select <strong>New&gt;Task Sequence<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/110.jpg\" title=\"110.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/110-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"110.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>New Task <\/strong><strong>Sequence Wizard <\/strong>will start<br \/>\nSelect <strong>Install an existing Image package<\/strong> and click Next<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/22.jpg\" title=\"22.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/22-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"22.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Give a name to your task sequence and select <strong>Boot image<br \/>\n<\/strong>Click Next<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/32.jpg\" title=\"32.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/32-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"32.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Install the Windows Operating System<\/strong>click Browse and select the image that you wan to use.<br \/>\nSelect <strong>Partition and format the target computer before installing operating system<br \/>\n<\/strong>Enter the OS <strong>Product Key<br \/>\n<\/strong>Select <strong>Licensing Mode <\/strong>this is needed for server OS<br \/>\nYou can enable or disable Local administrator account. If you enable it you have to type the password. Click Next<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/42.jpg\" title=\"42.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/42-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"42.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you want you can join PC to domain but then you need to provide all the required details. Click Next<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/52.jpg\" title=\"52.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/52-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"52.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now you need to provide SCCM client Package which you created earlier(<a rel=\"bookmark\" href=\"http:\/\/andrius.kozeniauskas.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/20\/sccm-how-to-create-sccm-client-package-and-program-for-osd\/\" title=\"Permanent Link to SCCM: How to create SCCM client Package and Program for OSD\">How to create SCCM client Package and Program for OSD<\/a>) and click Next.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/62.jpg\" title=\"62.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/62-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"62.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Untick all the boxes in <strong>Configure State Migration. T<\/strong>his is because we are not migrating PC.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/72.jpg\" title=\"72.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/72-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"72.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have Updates configured in SCCM environment then you can install them during the imaging process. In my cae i slect <strong>Don&#8217;t install any software updates.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/82.jpg\" title=\"82.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/82-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"82.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can make SCCM install software during imaging. But you have to have packages prepared beforehand. I selected Office 2007. You can leave it blank. Click Next.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/91.jpg\" title=\"91.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/91-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"91.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Review the summary and click Next.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/101.jpg\" title=\"101.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/101-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"101.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wait for progress to finish and click Close.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/112.jpg\" title=\"112.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/112-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"112.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The task\u00a0sequence is ready but by default the SCCM does not use Quick format after creating partitions. So depending on your drive size it can take some time to format the drive.\u00a0So here are the steps to change that.<\/p>\n<p>Go to <strong>System Center Configuration Manager&gt;Site Database&gt;Computer Management&gt;Operating System Deployment&gt;Task Sequences<br \/>\n<\/strong>Right click on Task Sequence you have just created<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and select <strong>Edit<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/161.jpg\" title=\"161.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/161-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"161.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>Partition Disk<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/131.jpg\" title=\"131.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/131-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"131.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under<strong> Volume <\/strong>right click on Primary partition and select Properties<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/141.jpg\" title=\"141.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.kozeniauskas.com\/itblog\/files\/2008\/03\/141-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"141.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Properties tick <strong>Quick Format.<\/strong> Click OK and OK again in <strong>Task Sequence Editor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it.<br \/>\nNow you need to advertise this sequence.<br \/>\nI will\u00a0show you how to do that in my next post.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/andrius.kozeniauskas.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/20\/sccm-how-to-advertise-task-sequence-for-osd\/\">How to Advertise a Task sequence<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In order to create OSD Task Sequence you need to have you image created and added to SCCM.
